Hi there! I am so glad you found me! My mission is to inspire you to make the most out of your vacation time and budget to explore the world.
Before we begin our journey together, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I started this blog as a way to keep family and friends in the loop when I went on a 3-week trip to Asia in 2011. I really liked blogging, so I kept doing it on subsequent trips. And although I’ve always enjoyed traveling, it wasn’t until a trip to Peru in 2012 that I started to think about ways to make travel a priority in my life. Still, it was not something that happened overnight. In the modest Bulgarian household I grew up in, money had always been tight. Even as I became a successful professional in America, I was still afraid of not having “enough money” (does anyone, ever?). It took some time and a couple of brain surgeries for me to realize that life is short, you never have as much money or time as you want and you should just go do what makes you happy. Now I add up some of my discretionary income, a generous amount of vacation time from work and my shrewdly collected and applied United miles to travel as much as I possibly can. When I am not travelling, I play tourist in the magnificent city of Los Angeles, where I have been living since 2009.
Again, welcome to my blog! If you’re not sure where to begin, start with my latest post and go from there!
